If you’ve seen Dom Mazzetti, you know why he’s the envy of most men. You don’t have to sit on the sidelines with jealousy, though, if you understand what the Dom Mazett workout plan looks like.
Dom is 6’1″ and weighs between 185 and 195 pounds. This seems a bit high based on the body mass index scale, but when you consider he’s all muscle, he’s right where he needs to be. He’s a New York City native, which you can tell when you watch his videos. He definitely has the accent. Although he goes by the moniker Dom Mazzetti, his real name is Mike Tornabene. He’s often referred to as the “Bro Science Guy” due to his YouTube channel.
A Combo of Comedy and Fitness
While he does feature a great bit about fitness on the channel, his comical character provides funny, but essentially useless, advice about college and women, too. Besides being a YouTube celeb, he also has his own line of merch, known as Bro Science Life apparel.

Although it received some views, his true internet fame came in 2011 with a bomb scare sketch. The video went viral, so Mike, along with his friend Gian, decided to continue to make videos. This led to the creation of Dom’s brand. So far, this has proven to be a success for Mike, as his net worth as of 2022 was estimated at $600,000.

You can tell by his videos that Mike doesn’t take himself too seriously. He likes to joke and have a good time; yet, he still manages to get a physique some men would do anything to acquire.

If you’ve ever watched any of his videos, you’ve probably watched him poke fun at the stereotypical weightlifters at the gym. Ultimately, his message is to live a healthy, active lifestyle, nothing more, nothing less. And while you’re doing it, don’t stress too much or overthink it.
Although he feels there’s no need to stress, it definitely doesn’t stop him from having a gym philosophy. He is achieving gains quickly, and he feels that maintaining them is equally as vital.

His diet is relatively straightforward. Specifically, he avoids unhealthy fats, processed foods, and sugar, besides alcohol. He eats six meals per day to provide his body with enough energy and receive the nutrition he needs for gains.

As anyone can plainly see, Mike is a gym rat. He began bodybuilding at 14. According to Healthline, the average person needs to perform resistance training at least two to three times each week. Not only does Mike do that, but he takes it one step further. In fact, to maintain his current body, he works out five days per week.

Monday
Garfield and some people might hate Mondays, but certainly not Mike. In fact, in the Dom Mazzetti workout plan, he goes hard in the gym on those biceps on this day.
Every Monday, he performs four exercises including the following:
- Preacher curls
- EZ bar curls
- Concentration curls
- Bicep curls
He performs three sets of every one of these exercises. He does 10 reps per set of all exercises besides bicep curls. For bicep curls, he only performs eight repetitions.
Tuesday
While we did note that he takes two days off each week, Tuesday isn’t it. He visits the gym on this day for tricep strength training. In total, Mike does five exercises, which include:
- Overhead tricep extensions
- Straight bar pushdowns
- Skullcrushers
- Close grip bench press
- Rope pushdowns
The number of reps and sets he does of each is static for each exercise. He does three sets of 10 repetitions.
Wednesday
Wednesday isn’t his rest day either. On this day, he hits the gym and usually with Bradley Martyn. This person had a huge influence on the Dom Mazzetti character. Typically, the workout on this day is full-body strength training. You can often see it on his videos because it’s a day when they often record.
Some of the exercises you may catch are as follows:
- Chin-ups
- Push-ups
- Deadlifts
- Burpees
- Pull-ups
This is another day when there’s no real figuring out the different numbers for each exercise. In the Dom Mazzetti workout, he does 10 repetitions of each exercise and three sets.
Thursday
Mike will openly admit that cardio and conditioning aren’t his cups of tea. He’d much rather be pumping that iron. But, he’ll be the first to admit that aerobic exercise serves a purpose.
To kick this day off, Mike warms up with a 20-minute ride on an exercise bike along with a 10-minute warm-up on an elliptical.
After he gets his muscles warmed up, he performs seven different exercises:
- Dead bugs
- Glute bridges
- Dumbbell rows
- Standing overhead dumbbell press
- Single leg deadlift
- Lateral lunges
- Side planks
This is another day when his reps and sets are easy to remember. He performs four sets of 10 repetitions of each exercise.
Friday
On Friday, Mike works on his abs, but you can tell he certainly works on them just by looking at him. This strenuous workout day consists of nine exercises:
- Planks – one-minute hold
- Butterfly crunch – 20 reps
- Medicine ball slams – 20 reps
- Mountain climbers – 20 reps
- Bird-dogs – 10 reps per side
- Leg raises – 20 reps
- Russian twists -20 reps
- Side planks 30-second hold, does each side
- Bicycle crunches -10 reps on each side
He performs three sets for each exercise, and the repetitions are listed above because they vary based on the exercise.
Saturday and Sunday
Part of his fictional character’s workout and Mike’s workout is rest. You need that downtime for your body to recover so you can continue to build and get back in the gym to perform your best. That’s why, on the weekends, you’ll find him recording YouTube videos and resting.
