Andrei Deiu Workout

Born May 8, 1996, Andrei Deiu had no interest in fitness during his childhood. A relatively quiet child, he was bullied at school for being overweight. He faced harsh criticism from his peers. Finally, enough was enough, and he made a change. Unlike many other professional bodybuilders, Andrei began his fitness journey on his own. He managed to lose the excess weight, build muscle, and gain confidence. According to Workout Lunatic, by the age of 17, he participated in his first bodybuilding competition in Miami, Florida. Today we know him as a successful bodybuilder, influencer, and fitness model.

His popularity on social media is worth noting: 900k YouTube subscribers and 5.3 million Instagram followers. Andrei shares workout tips with his fanbase. Fit Media Channel shows his incredible 5-year journey from his first competition in 2014 through the highs and lows leading to a place at the Olympia 2020. Obviously, the Romanian bodybuilder’s transformation is a source of inspiration and a success story that many of us can identify with on our own fitness journeys. The Gym Goat reports many in the bodybuilding industry consider Andrei to be one of the best, with one of the most aesthetic physiques in the biz.

What Does the Andrei Deiu Workout Routine Look Like?

An article from The Gym Goat gives us an idea of how Andrei Deiu achieves and maintains his competitive, lean physical physique. The Andrei Deiu workout spans all seven days of the week. He hits it hard 6 days and takes it a bit easier on the 7th to ensure his body has time for rest and recovery.

Andrei’s Monday workout routine starts the week with a mashup of chest and shoulder exercises. Andrei kills it with multiple sets of incline cable and chest flies, coupled with incline press-ups and flat dumbbell presses. Adding incline barbell chest presses at 4 sets of 12 reps and seated lateral raises round out a complete workout that kickstarts the week.

Tuesday’s workout is a killer, with an emphasis on the back and abs. Pull-ups until failure, along with pulldowns, deadlifts, leg raises, and cable crunches, get this day off to a good start. Finishing up with seated cable rows, machine pullovers, and one-arm dumbbell rows give Andrei his perfectly cut abs and obliques.

Wednesday’s workout is “hump day,” which finds the 26-year-old Andrei working on his shoulders. Military presses, front, side, and rear raises, along with dumbbell shrugs, make for optimum arm rotation and shoulder blade elevation when perfecting his bodybuilding poses. Getting past “the hump” includes 4 sets of reverse pec deck flies with repetitions until failure. According to Fit Media Channel, the shoulders are the body part that gets most injured in training, so it’s vital to train appropriately.

Thursday’s workout is where Andrei changes gears and hops on the treadmill for an hour-long walk/jog to up the cardio. Following that is an ab circuit of cable crunches, hanging oblique knee raises, and decline leg raises.

Friday’s workout includes working on calves and quads. Squats are a given after a quick warm-up on the exercise bike. Sculpting the perfect leg muscles includes Andrei’s choice of leg extensions, calf raises, and narrow stance leg presses.

Saturday’s workout focuses on strengthening arms and abdominal muscles. From hammer, barbell, and seated concentration curls to leg raises and arm extensions, Saturday’s Andrei Deiu workout routine is intense. No matter if it’s the weekend, the work must go on with EZ-Bar skull crushers and 4 sets with 15 reps on the air bike. Using your arms to push-pull on the bike while simultaneously pedaling makes this exercise a powerhouse for building strength and endurance.

Sunday is when Andrei couples a hamstring and calf workout with rest and recovery. Between 3 and 5 sets of each, Andrei performs lunges, calf presses and raises, seated leg curls, and straight leg deadlifts. Wide stance leg presses finish up the routine. Then it’s time to relax and rejuvenate before starting all over again on Monday.

Andrei Deiu’s Other Secrets to Staying in Shape

Because he is involved in bodybuilding, modeling, and social media, Andrei has to stay in shape all year long. To do this, he maintains a clean diet. His diet includes egg whites, chicken breasts, brown rice, white rice, salmon, green veggies, oats, sweet potatoes, steak, and more. To supplement, he uses whey protein, fish oils, fat burners, multivitamins, Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA’s), and Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).

According to Dr. Workout, Andrei maintains a diet of the perfect combination of carbs, protein, and healthy fats, plus key micronutrients. But does he ever cheat? Of course, but no more than once or twice a week and after each major competition.

Sleep matters. Maintaining good sleeping habits helps Andrei maintain his mental and physical health while improving his productivity.

It’s Not Impossible, It’s “I’m” Possible

Belief in himself is what the quiet and introverted learned was key to becoming successful. While he enjoys keeping to himself, he is touted as very approachable and kind in the bodybuilding world.

Early in life, Andrei spent a large part of his time alone, playing video games and eating junk food. His favorite friends were candy, potato chips, and energy drinks. Because of an unhealthy diet and lack of exercise, Andrei was on a path spiraling into an unhealthy lifestyle. Around the age of 15, he began turning his life around.

Going to the gym was difficult. As an introvert, walking in and working out in a social environment was uncomfortable at best. Rather than believing that a life change was “impossible,” Andrei had an “I’m possible” attitude.

By the time he was 17, Andrei had left his obesity behind and all the body issues that came with it. He gained muscle and lost weight thanks to his dedication to the gym and healthy food choices.

Andrei Pursued Bodybuilding

With the encouragement of his friends, he chose to pursue bodybuilding. After all, he was now well-equipped to compete. With a few months of training under his belt, Andrei entered his first competition in the men’s physique division. While he didn’t place, he didn’t give up, and the experience gave him the knowledge of what to expect at the next competition.

Andrei trained hard, ate more protein, became leaner, and added more lean muscle mass. At the next competition, he won the overall Men’s Physique title. That was just the beginning of a consistent string of wins.

Andrei continued to perfect himself and decided to go pro. He placed 1st overall in the Amateur Olympia contest and secured his International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) pro card.
